What happens during my first visit?

Your first visit usually includes a dental examination, a discussion of any concerns you have, and X-rays if needed. Your dentist will then explain any recommended treatment before proceeding.

Does Maple Dental treat children?

Yes, our children’s dentistry covers preventive and restorative care for ages 2 to 12, including gentle removal of baby teeth that don’t fall out naturally. We aim to make visits comfortable for younger patients.

What should I do if I have a dental emergency?

Call or WhatsApp us as soon as possible — we aim to see urgent cases such as severe pain, trauma, or swelling within 24 hours, depending on clinic availability at the time.

How is wisdom tooth removal handled?

Depending on the position and condition of the tooth, this may be a simple extraction or minor oral surgery, taking roughly 30 to 90 minutes. Your dentist will assess your X-rays first and explain which approach applies to you.

What’s the difference between braces and clear aligners?

Traditional braces use fixed brackets and wires, while clear aligners (such as Invisalign or Smartee) are removable, near-invisible trays that are changed periodically. Treatment time for either can range from about 3 months to 2 years depending on your case.

How long does it take to get a dental implant?

The full process typically takes 3 to 6 months for osseointegration, and can extend to over a year if preparatory procedures like bone grafting are needed. We use CBCT 3D imaging to plan your treatment before surgery.

How often should I go for scaling and polishing?

We generally recommend 2 to 3 visits a year to remove plaque and tartar buildup and help prevent gum disease. Your dentist may suggest a different frequency depending on your oral health.

Does Maple Dental treat gum disease?
